Hipilandia was great. Monstro and Gato picked me up from the airport in Leticia, showed me around town and on the Amazon river. It was great to see how people live there. The experience was very personable. The jungle tour was an amazing experience as well. Nikolas and Biren were great. They showed me lots of things during the hike. We stayed on the Calderon River. Our host, Alfredo was an excellent cook and I was shocked how good the food in the jungle would be. Will definitely attempt to come back

To walk through the jungle and tour the Amazon by boat was a wonderful experience. Hipilandia looked after everything, food was good, transport good, tour leaders were great fun people. The stars in the night sky were beautiful. Would totally recommend 😃

I had a really good time and regret that I could not stay longer than 3 days! The food Sebastian was cooking was delicious, Andrés did a good job translating so that everything was also understandable for none Spanish speakers, the activities were well chosen and it was really personalized (some of our group wanted to stay longer at the lake to do some fishing, I had to leave earlier to catch a flight and the rest was staying in Puerto Nariño - everything no problem!). The only thing I would recommend to improve is the organisation in the beginning. If I had a question and sent an email it was answered immediately which was really good but since I'm European and a little control freak I would have loved to receive some confirmation emails like "We have received your payment. We noted your flight number down and somebody is going to pick you up at the airport at date xy" etc. I think it would make the tour also look more professional

This was our biggest highlight from Colombia! Everything was well managed – the communication in advance was swift, our airport pick-up, the stay at the hostel and eventually the exploration of the jungle went smooth! Johnathan & Stefanie were very flexible and tailored the trip according to our requirements. Being vegetarian was not a problem either. We learned a great deal about the indigenous people life and beliefs, as well as about jungle plants and animals from our local guide Amador. Our English translator Juan was very helpful and essential, as we barely speak Spanish. Overall, we recommend them! Make sure to share any extra expectations in advance, such as wanting to walk longer or go deeper in the jungle or learn to use a machete etc and they will make it happen!

We had a really good stay at Hipilandia. As it name suggests , it is a really chilled out, relaxed atmosphere. Nice and clean and in the middle of town without being noisy. They arranged a one day guided bike ride for us with Henry where we visited Colombia, Brazil and Peru........all before lunch ! Included in the bike ride Henry took us to lunch at his home on stilts and for an exploration of the flooded jungle in the family picka-picka boat. Good to meet you all, especially Juan.

This was such an amazing experience. The first day was difficult with the heat and the exertion of the jungle walking. But the guides took everything at my own pace and were very helpful and considerate. Really got an insight into how the locals currently live. I never felt like I was doing activities just for tourism. Went fishing with locals and helped catch food. Trekking through jungles where locals still forage and hunt for food. and there were some very special surprises. By the end of the trip i felt part of the family. Be prepared to rough it. But it’s worth it. Thank you so much. I will be back!!

We got back from the tour and we loved it. At the end of 3 days we felt like part of the family who runs the tour and the hostel. They even cooked vegan meals for us every day and the food was delicious and thanks to them we tried amazonian fruits and vegetables, super healthy. We were drinking accai juice every day and even had vegan sushi! They even invited us for a dinner after the tour, just like they didn't have enough of us and vegan food 😀 Our guide Gato was English speaking and he was even collecting plastic rubbish from the jungle, sharing how to protect the jungle and the animals.

The tour started early in the morning with a healthy breakfast then our guide set us up with safety equipment and the correct bikes and we were off ! We travelled through town and villages ,met the local people ,swam in the Amazon and stopped for dilicous snacks and meals .Saw so much and got a real feel of what life in Colombia is all about . Would highly recommend bike tour or any other tour this company have on offer .

Increíble hospitalidad y gran experiencia Al llegar a Hipilandia, me sentí en un lugar lleno de tranquilidad y buena vibra, algo que también hizo de mi viaje una experiencia increíble fue el trato humano que se da en este lugar. El propietario y su team son super disponibles, y sobre todo le tienen amor a su territorio. Los tours que organizan son muy flexibles, y se adaptan a los intereses y disponibilidad de tiempo de cada unx. Super recomendado!
